Lenovo Vibe K5 Note to go on sale exclusively on Flipkart, confirms company

Lenovo's Vibe K5 Note will go on sale next week via Flipkart. Lenovo's upcoming phone was previously rumoured to be exclusively sold on Amazon India, as its predecessor K4 Note series was released through the same e-commerce site.

Now, Flipkart (via Twitter) has confirmed that the new Vibe K5 Note will be available for purchase on its e-store from Aug.1 onwards.

"Last year Lenovo was the top smartphone brand of 2015 on Flipkart and we aim to retain that position this year as well. Since last year, Flipkart has sold over 5 Million units of Lenovo smartphones and we will aim to reach consumers spread across 15000+ pin codes through this partnership," Sudhin Mathur, Executive Director, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo, said in a statement.

In a related development, Lenovo has revealed that the Vibe K5 Note bound for India will have 4GB RAM, 2GB more than the original model sold in China.

With high capacity RAM, the Vibe K5 Note is poised to give stiff challenge to its rivals — Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and Moto G4 Plus, among others.

The Vibe K5 Note sports a full metal body having ring-shaped finger-print sensor on the rear below the circular camera module separated by dual-LED flash.

Under the hood, it comes packed with a new MediaTek P10 Octa-core CPU, 64-bit class 700MHz dual-core ARM Mali-T860-MP2 graphics core, 16GB inbuilt storage, a 3,500mAh battery, which can keep the phone running for more than 450 hours under standby mode.

It also features an impressive 13MP ISOCELL camera with F2.2 Aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), full HD and an 8MP camera on the front.
