Chinese PC maker Lenovo is reportedly planning to launch a new flagship smartphone in India this week.
Lenovo has begun sending invites to select media houses for the launch event of an unnamed device scheduled on 6 November.
In the invitation, the company has emphasised on the mystery device's unique 'multi-layered' design, hinting that the upcoming event will witness the launch of the recently unveiled Octa-core powered Vibe X2 smartphone, reported BGR India.
Lenovo Vibe X2 was originally unveiled on 4 September during the globally acclaimed electronics trade show IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2014, Germany.
It boasts of gradient three layer design, wherein battery also works as protective layer to the phone. The ultra-thin (5.1mm) X2 Battery does double duty by protecting the phone while also extending its battery life by nearly up to 75 percent, says the company's press note released during the unveiling.
Vibe X2 flaunts a 5.0-inch full HD wide-angle display and runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS powered by the 2.0GHz MediaTek Tru Octa-core CPU, sumptuous 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory.
Other stipulated features include a 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel camera on the front and a 2,300 mAh battery, which can power the phone for close to 9.5 days under standby mode, once fully charged.
As of now, there is no word on the price details of the upcoming phone, but considering the launch of Vibe Z2 Pro (₹32,999) in October, the new Lenovo Vibe X2 is likely to be competitively priced at around ₹25,000 and ₹30,000.
