Chinese consumer electronics major Lenovo is reportedly planning to launch a new phablet, A7000, in India next month.
Lenovo has sent out invites to select media houses for an event on 17 April. The company has not mentioned the significance of the next month's program, but in the invitation (courtesy, BGR India), the company says- "Save the Date, 7 April 2015" and in the right bottom corner, there is a 'Dolby Atmos' logo, thus giving the hint that Lenovo will be launching the A7000, as it is the world's first smartphone to house the latest Dolby Atmos audio system.
For the uninitiated, Lenovo A7000 was unveiled on 2 March at the ongoing MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2015, Barcelona. During the launch, the company had boasted that the phone's advanced audio technology gives immense clarity to music and voices and has a broader range from highs to lows, with the greatest subtlety.
Other stipulated features of Lenovo A7000 include 5.5-inch HD IPS screen, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, MediaTek Octa-core SoC (System on Chip) with 4G-LTE modem. It will be backed by sumptuous 2GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory and 2900 mAh battery which can run the phone for close to 12 days under standby mode.
