The long rumoured Lenovo's entry-level Moto C series is expected break covers next month.
India Today, citing reliable company insider, has claimed that Lenovo is closing in on finalising the launch date for Moto C series and if all things go as planned, the company will first release it in India in June.
The revelations comes close on reports of Xiaomi launching new line of Redmi 4 series in late May and HMD Global's plan to release Nokia 3 ( along with Nokia 6 & 5 series) in June.

Lately Lenovo's Motorola is facing tough competition, especially from Xiaomi, as it replaced the former, as second biggest mobile-phone seller in India. Thanks to robust sales of the Redmi 3S, the 3S Prime, the Redmi Note 3 and the recently launched the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 4A, Xiaomi has been able to hold on its slot for last two quarters.

Further, India is on the cusp of replacing US as the second biggest smartphone business in the world and also currently, it is the fastest growing mobile market. All brands small and big are setting up assembling plants in the country. Even Apple is expected to start local iPhone production in India soon.
With HMD Global planning to launch Nokia phones in three weeks, the competition is expected to intensify in coming months.
It is probably why Lenovo is planning to release the Moto C (& C Plus) first in India.
Lenovo's Motorola Moto C: Expected features and price details
As per the information, we have gathered so far, the Moto C in coming in two variants, one a generic Moto C and another the C Plus.
Both the phones are said to sport identical design language having a 5.0-inch display with front-camera having dedicated LED flash on the top.
On the back, they are expected to feature big circular camera module with iconic batwing Moto logo similar to the recently launched Moto G5 series.
But, to cut the cost, the cover on their back is most likely to be made of plastic.
As far as the internal hardware is concerned, standard Moto C is expected to come in two sub-variants based on 3G and 4G support.
The former is expected to feature a 1.3GHz 32-bit MediaTek quad-core processor, whereas the latter will have 64-bit class 1.1.GHz MediaTek quad-core CPU. Rest of the specifications are expected to be same in both the Moto C sub-variants.
They are said to come in 143.9 x 72.0 x 10.0 mm dimensions and feature 480x800p resolution display, 5MP rear camera ( with fixed focus in 3G model & auto focus in 4G model) with LED flash, 2MP front camera with LED flash, 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB internal storage and a 2,350mAh battery.
Whereas, the top-end Moto C Plus is expected to come in 145.5 x 73.5 x 9.1mm~ 10.2mm (camera bump) dimensions having 5.0- inch HD (1280x720p) resolution screen.
Under the hood, it is said to house a 64-bit class 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB/2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 8MP camera with auto focus, LED flash, 2MP front snapper with dedicated LED flash and a 4,000mAh battery.
As far as the pricing is concerned, Moto C series is expected to cost under $100 (around €94/ Rs. 6,445).
