Lenovo is keeping up the interest surrounding its mysterious device expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona this month. After posting a teaser image of the handset's rear panel last Friday, the Chinese smartphone-maker tweeted another photo that highlights the dual speakers with Dolby Atmos.
There is a lot of buzz around what the new "gorgeous" device is called. The rear design is similar to the recently-launched Lemon 3 smartphone. Rumours speculate the new handset will possibly be called Lemon 3 Plus, considering the bigger size seen in the teaser images. Back to the latest teaser, and Lenovo emphasises the new handset will deliver superior audio experience.
"Brace yourselves for rich & powerful sound as this device is set to deliver the #Knockout punch thanks to DolbyAtmos, (sic)" reads the caption on the image shared by Lenovo India's official Twitter handle on Monday.
It is worth mentioning that Lenovo has reserved the Lemon series to its home country, and launched devices under a new name for international markets. For instance, the company launched the first-generation K3 Lemon as A6000 in India and other international markets last year. This could mean the new handset's name could be different from what will be unveiled at MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
Other than what the handset will be called, there have been rumours about its specifications. The upcoming smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and a full-metal body.
These specs align with the Lemon 3 smartphone with the difference in the screen size and other details. Lemon 3 sports a 5-inch screen, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The handset features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-snapper and a 2,750mAh battery.
MWC 2016 kicks off Feb. 22 and runs through Feb. 25, which means Lenovo will unveil the mystery device any time next week. There are several smartphones lined up to be showcased at the mobile-centric event from brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, LG and Sony.
