Lenovo launched a new slim and light notepad in India at an attractive price range, targeting the budget shoppers who wish to stay connected on the go. The all-new Ideapad 100S is the company's latest addition its wide range of notebook and laptop series, but adds value in terms of affordability and convenience.
Lenovo Ideapad 100S has a launch price of Rs. 14,990, but it is available on Snapdeal, Lenovo's exclusive sales partner for the product, for Rs. 14,449. The notebook's biggest selling points are the latest Windows 10 operating system, ultra-slim design, lightweight, Dolby Advanced Audio integrated speakers and lasting battery.
"Light weight notebooks that offer superior functionality at affordable price points are a compelling choice in an era where consumers are always on the go and want to stay connected," Ashok Nair director, Home and Small Business at Lenovo India, said in a statement. "Another feature that is every consumer's ask is a long battery life which we are offering with this really cool product. With its attractive design and specifications, Ideapad 100s offers unmatched end user experience for both families and professionals."
Diving into the specs of the Ideapad 100S, it is powered by Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocking speeds at 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel HD GPU and 32GB eMMC storage capacity. Lenovo has addressed the low storage issue with the inclusion of a microSD card slot.
The notebook has an 11.6-inch HD display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and offers up to 8 hours of battery life, the company claims. Lenovo has also integrated Dolby Advanced Audio for better sound. The Ideapad 100S features standard connectivity options such as two USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but lacks an optical disk drive.
The Ideapad 100S weighs 1kg and has a 0.3MP camera in the front for web conferencing. Users also get the latest Windows 10 OS out of the box to include proprietary features such as Cortana. Lenovo Ideapad 100S competes against the likes of Asus Eeebook, which offers similar specs at a slightly higher price.
