Lenovo is strengthening its position in the PC category with the launch of four new laptops and convertibles. After attaining immense success in the budget smartphone space in India, the renowned PC vendor is getting back at its core expertise by offering new laptops for varying needs and budgets. All four models fall under Lenovo's successful Yoga series and are called Yoga 300, Yoga 500, Yoga 3 (14) and Yoga 3 Pro.
"Globally we are the leaders in the consumer convertible PC space. We achieved this by constantly innovating and stretching the boundaries of what a PC stands for. The YOGA franchise is the representation of this consumer-centric design and engineering. We are happy to make the YOGA franchise, through this new line of products, accessible to a much wider audience," Shailendra Katyal, Director – Home and Small Business (HSB) of Lenovo India, said in a press statement, Technuter reports.
Known for its flexibility to be used in different ways, the Yoga series laptops have gained traction among consumers. Yoga 300 is an 11.6-inch 360 degree convertible PC that can be used as a laptop and a tablet as well as in "stand" or "tent" mode. Powered by Intel's BayTrail processor, the Yoga 300 comes with Microsoft 365 productivity suite, Windows 8.1 and the usual ports for USB 2.0, USB 3.0, SD card reader, HDMI port and audio combo jack.
The Yoga 300 is the base model in the newly-launched series and costs ₹30,490.
Yoga 500 is similar to Yoga 300, but gets a superior treatment under the hood. Powered by Intel's i7 processor, the 14-inch convertible laptop is suitable for gaming and can be used in different positions, thanks to its 360 degree flexibility. The display has a crisp Full HD resolution and features 10-point multi-touch for seamless use of Windows 8.1 OS. The laptop is equipped with a backlit Accutype keyboard.
Yoga 500, given the upgraded specs, is priced just above Yoga 300 at ₹57,990.
Moving towards the high-end laptop category, Yoga 3 (14-inch) features a Full HD display and powered by fifth-generation Intel i7 processor, Windows 8.1, 500GB SSHD and up to 8GB RAM. As for the Yoga 3 Pro, the high-end machine is powered by Intel Core M-70 processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 512GB SSD and a 13.3-inch QHD touchscreen display.
Yoga 3 (14) is priced at ₹86,990 while the Yoga 3 Pro comes with a price tag of ₹1,14,990.
