Chinese electronics major Lenovo is reportedly planning to launch the Intel powered smartphone K900 in India by the second week of May.
Sources in close contact with NDTV Gadgets have revealed that the Lenovo is expected to unveil its K900 in India on 10 May with a "very aggressive price" within the ₹25,000 range. The sources have also claimed that Lenovo would also soon begin a TV ad campaign using the ongoing IPL as a marketing platform to augment the visibility of the K900 smartphone.
Lenovo K900 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS screen with pixel density close to 400 plus pixels per inch resolution and is expected run on Android Mobile OS v4.1.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Other specifications include 2GB RAM, 16GB storage space with option of expanding memory via microSD card.
Lenovo K900 is touted as the first smartphone to pack the Intel's Clover Trail+ Atom dual-core processor with a remarkable 2GHz CPU speed.
With a sub-₹25,000 price-tag and aptly backed by feature-rich specs, Lenovo K900 is pegged to be a serious contender to have an impact on sales of Samsung's popular Galaxy Note series as well as its affordable phablet Galaxy Grand.
