Chinese consumer electronics major Lenovo is planning to launch the new K6 series phone, successor of its budget K5 smartphone in India.
For the last couple of days, Lenovo, as a part of promotional campaign on social media platforms, has been releasing a series of #KickassPower teasers hinting the launch of K6 series phone.
However, there is a confusion, which of the three K6 series will be released in India. Lenovo's new phone series, which was unveiled at IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2016 in August came in three versions—one a generic, K6, a battery life-centric K6 Power and a top-end phablet K6 Note.
But, the use of the word 'Power' in hash tag makes us believe that Lenovo is more likely to announce the K6 Power first in the country and eventually release the other two in coming months.
Lenovo's move is expected to increase its market share and further widen the gap over the rival Micromax.
For those unaware, Lenovo (including Motorola) for the first time overtook Micromax, as the India's second-biggest smartphone maker in the third quarter of 2016, ending on September.

Coming back to topic on hand, Lenovo's K6 Power sports a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU, a 13MP primary cameras with LED flash, an 8MP front snappers and 4G LTE support, fingerprint sensor, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage.
As the name suggests, K6 Power's highlight is its battery. It comes with a massive 4,000mAh, which is enough to keep the phone running for close to two days under mixed usage and even more, if used shrewdly.

On the other hand, the generic K6 series phone too houses pretty much same hardware as seen inside the K6 Power, but differ in two aspects— RAM and battery capacity. It features 2GB RAM and 3,000mAh battery.
Whereas, the K6 Note, is the top-end variant among the three models. It boasts 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16MP primary camera with dual-LED flash, an 8MP front snapper, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage and 4,000mAh battery.
To truly protect your stuff, you need some Kickass security.
