Owners of Lenovo K5 Note received a minor system update last week. If you haven't updated the device with the new software, which weighs 122MB, it is highly recommended you do so. Besides device stability and bug fixes, the software update added VoLTE support for Reliance Jio users.
Lenovo K5 Note is a 4G LTE smartphone, but it lacked the VoLTE feature, which enables free HD voice calls to any network from Jio. With this update, users won't need the Jio4GVoice app to make HD voice calls from Jio's network.
Users can manually check for the software update by navigating into phone's settings, About Phone and then System Update. The new software bumps the version to S312.
This minor addition joins to the list of K5 Note's noteworthy features that have compelled buyers into investing Rs. 11,999 for a 3GB RAM model and Rs. 13,499 for the 4GB RAM variant. The K5 Note is a strong competitor to the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Coolpad Note 5, LeEco Le 2, Moto G4 Plus and Lenovo ZUK Z1.
In terms of specifications, Lenovo K5 Note a 5.5-inch Full HD display, full metal body, a 13MP primary camera with 5-pieces Composite Lens and PDAF, and an 8MP front snapper. It is powered by a 64-Bit, Octa Core 1.8 GHz Mediatek 6755 processor, a 3,500mAh battery and TheaterMax Technology support with Dolby Atmos Sound.
The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Pure UI skin, has 32GB onboard storage with microSD card support, dual SIM card slots and fingerprint scanner.
