Chinese technology major Lenovo has launched the K5 Note within a week after the K4 Note hit the stores in India.
The new K5 Note comes with lots of changes when compared to the K4 Note, both in terms of design and internal hardware. The former boasts of a full-metal body, with a ring-shaped fingerprint sensor on the rear, just below the circular camera module, separated by dual-LED flash, and comes with a new MediaTek P10 Octa-core CPU, bigger 3,500 mAh battery, but its RAM is reduced to 2GB and the dual-speakers on the front-panel have been ditched. It features an 8MP camera on the front.
While the K4 Note flaunts a matte black shell made of polycarbonate compound and its edges are covered by a metal alloy offering sturdy structure to withstand accidental drops and also provide a sense of premium, it also houses two three-grille speakers on the front-panel — one each on top and the bottom to provide enhanced audio experience.
K4 Note features elongated metal strip housing a square fingerprint sensor on the rear having a camera module on the top with dual-Led flash placed to the right side.
Under the hood, K4 Note comes with the new MediaTek [MT6753] Octa-core processor backed by Mali T720-MP3 (up to 450MHz 3D graphics accelerator), 16GB (expandable up to 124GB), 3GB RAM, 3,300mAh cell and a 5MP snapper on the front.
The only feature K5 Note and its predecessor share is the rear camera's MP count. Both devices come packed with 13MP shooters with dual-LED flash.
Lenovo K5 Note price and release details:
The company has confirmed that the new K5 Note will be available via flash sale later this week in China for ¥1099 (around $167/€154/Rs 11,310).
However, there is no word on whether Lenovo has plans to introduce the new phone in other countries.
