Earlier in the week, Lenovo India conducted an online poll asking fans what security system will the upcoming phablet Killer Note 2016 (aka K4 Note) feature.
Now, the company has confirmed that the device will house finger-print based biometric security technology but stopped short of revealing where the sensors will be placed -- on back of the phone (below the camera module), on the home button or on the display panel.
Once launched, K4 Note will become the second phone to feature bio-metric technology in India after Coolpad Note 3, released in October for Rs. 8,999.
Lenovo also revealed that K4 Note will boast NFC (Near Field Communication) for faster wireless data transfer.
So far, Lenovo has confirmed that K4 Note will feature 3GB RAM, metal-frame, NFC and finger-print scanner.
It is believed that K4 Note will have major upgrade over its predecessor and is expected to feature 32GB inbuilt storage, double the capacity of K3 Note.
Other key features such as camera and battery are yet to be ascertained.
Since the K4 Note will be launched on 5 January, Lenovo is likely to reveal few more features of the device to keep the buzz around the K3 successor alive until the unveiling day. Stay tuned for more updates.
For the uninitiated, 2015 model K3 Note comes with 5.5-inch full HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13MP camera on the rear-side, 5MP snapper on the front and 3000 mAh battery.
