Lenovo launched its all-new K4 Note smartphone in India on 5 January, revealing all the key features, specifications and the price at once. During the smartphone launch in New Delhi, Lenovo also unveiled a virtual-reality headset, AntVR, to take advantage of the K4 Note's TheaterMax integration. Lenovo K4 Note will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting 19 January, and the registrations for the device are currently open.
Lenovo K4 Note is the latest affordable smartphone with premium features in the company's Vibe series. Priced at Rs 11,999, Lenovo K4 will take on affordable smartphones in the market. The company's K3 Note was a grand success with 1.2 million units sold in six months.
Will Lenovo K4 Note repeat the success of its predecessor? Here's a look at the specifications that will forecast a viable impression.
Lenovo K4 Note features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 441ppi and 178-degree viewing angle. It has a fresh new design with curved polycarbonate back cover (removable) and a metal frame for a premium touch. The handset features first-of-their-kind front-facing speakers by Dolby, which offer Atmos surround sound. The K4 Note measures 3.8mm at its thinnest point, and is 9.1mm thick. It weighs 158 grams.
The K4 Note smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB DDR3 RAM and Mali T720 GPU for graphics. There is 16GB onboard storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front-snapper for selfies. Lenovo K4 Note packs a 3,300mAh battery equipped with fast-charging tech that is expected to last up to 22 hours on 3G talktime. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI, and has dual SIM slots, 4G LTE support among other standard connectivity options.
Quite interestingly, Lenovo K4 Note features the unique TheaterMax technology, a feature Lenovo stressed upon at the launch. The new feature offers an immersive large-screen experience on the smartphone and supports split-screen function. TheaterMax converts movies, TV shows and games into large-screen cinema-like visuals. To experience TheaterMax at its best, Lenovo has launched the AntVR virtual reality headset that is sold separately for Rs 1,299.
However, if you purchase AntVR along with Lenovo K4 Note, the bundle will cost you Rs 12,499. The first flash sale on Amazon India will be conducted on 19 January at 2 pm for the K4 Note and AntVR bundle. Lenovo is also hosting another sale on 20 January at 2 pm solely for K4 Note at Rs 11,998. Only registered buyers will be able to participate in the sale.
