Lenovo A7000 demand continues in India as shoppers drained out thousands of units in less than 40 seconds. During the A7000's fourth flash sale on Wednesday via Flipkart, Lenovo successfully sold 20,000 units in a matter of just 39 seconds.
The company is already preparing for the next flash sale in India next week on 13 May at 2pm. Flipkart will once again host the sale exclusively and registrations will open on Wednesday at 6pm. It is mandatory for buyers to register before Tuesday midnight in order to participate in the sale next Wednesday.
Lenovo's first flash sale for A7000 smartphone in India lasted for just four seconds. At the time, the company had 30,000 units in hand. As weeks pass by, the time taken to sell out thousands of units is increasing, but it is still under a minute, which is great for Lenovo. After all, the A7000 is a smartly-priced, powerful handset that fits the needs for budget smartphone shoppers.
Lenovo A7000 poses a great challenge for budget smartphone rivals such as Xiaomi and Motorola. The handset boasts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 267ppi and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6572M SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage. In the camera department, there's an 8mp rear-facing sensor with flash and a 5mp front snapper for selfies. Lenovo also packs a 2,900mAh battery in the device.
Additionally, Lenovo touts the A7000 as the first smartphone with Dolby Atmos audio system. Lenovo has priced the A7000 in line with other budget devices such as Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note and others.
Besides A7000, Lenovo has also found success with other budget devices in the A series. The recently launched A6000 Plus is selling like hot cupcakes in India. The first flash sale for one lakh A6000 Plus handsets was completed in 15 minutes. Priced slightly higher than the A6000 (₹6,999), Lenovo A6000 Plus sells for ₹7,499. It offers double the RAM and storage space than its lower counterpart.
