Chinese consumer electronics major Lenovo has officially released budget smartphone A5000 in India through an online portal.
Lenovo A5000 was originally unveiled last weekend in Russia. It sports a 5.0-inch HD display and runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, powered by 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB inbuilt memory.
Lenovo A5000's USP is its 4000 mAh battery that can run the phone for staggering 33.5 days in standby mode. The device also boasts of a splash-proof nano-coating on the display.
[Note: The splash-proof coating only helps in with-standing rain or accidental spill on the display. It does not guarantee protection, if the device gets dropped in a swimming pool or any other water-body]
Unlike its A-series siblings (A6000, A6000 Plus and A7000) that are available via flash sale on Flipkart, Lenovo A5000 can only be purchased on the company's official e-commerce site, The Do Store [HERE]. It comes in two colour variants, white and black, for ₹9,999. The delivery procedure will commence by the end of this month, says the company.
Competition:
Lenovo A5000 is poised to give stiff challenge to popular brands like Moto G (2 Gen), YU Yureka, Lumia 640, and it will also be competing with its siblings A6000 Plus and A7000.
