Rip Hunter is one of the most beloved characters ever since Legends of Tomorrow released. In a recent interview, Maisie Richardson-Sellers has confirmed that Rip Hunter is definitely returning to the series but not the same as before.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Maisie said, "He does come back, just not necessarily the Rip that we remember. That's sort of what is a big part of the second half of the season."
Well, yes Rip is returning, that does not mean we will get to see Arthur Darvill again. That said, Rip Hunter's return may raise even more questions than it answers, going by that clue from Richardson-Sellers.
As it turns out, Rip Hunter isn't even the only past character who will return in the second half of Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, CinemaBlend reports. She said, "there is someone coming back. That's all I can say, that there is someone coming back you will see in the next episode we're shooting, that's...12."
Rip Hunter's return is expected to happen in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, fans are enjoying one of the biggest Legends of Tomorrow crossover with Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash which is expected to start in the upcoming episode.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers plays as Vixen in Legends of Tomorrow, who made her grand debut on Legends of Tomorrow as a member of the JSA. The team was a well-composed unit made up of Rex Tyler, Obsidian, Stargirl, Commander Steel, and Dr. Mid-Nite.
We still have to wait a while before we see the returns of Rip Hunter and a mystery member of the JSA in the second half of Season 2.
Legends of Tomorrow airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
