"The Legend of Korra", a sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender", is still loved by its fans who are eagerly waiting for a nod from Netflix to air the animation series.
As of now, more than 15,000 people have signed a petition filed by an UK admirer on Change.org and the number is expected to increase in the coming days.
The animation series, which completed its fourth season on 19 December, was initially aired on Nickelodeon and then distributed to various online platforms, including Google Play, Hulu, Amazon and Xbox Video.
The reason behind the television network to remove "The Legend of Korra" from its show list was online leaks. Several of the new episodes were leaked on the Internet and as a result the show received very low ratings.
However, fans of Avatar series were not happy with Nickelodeon's decision as they were waiting for new developments in the storyline. They claim that the program saw success as an online-exclusive show and Netflix's branding could take it to new heights.
But the online media is yet to make any official statement on whether "The Legend of Korra" will be included in its program list or not.
Meanwhile, answering a question from one of her Twitter followers, voice artist Zelda William said that it was unknown if Avatar series was coming back.
She also explained some of the hurdles that Netflix could expect in taking the show, which includes huge budget and finding appropriate characters, reported iDigital Times.
So, there is no hope for a sequel of "The Legend of Korra" on Netflix any time soon.
