Lee Min Ho fans across the globe have got a glimpse of his upcoming period drama The Legend Of The Blue Sea through its first look teaser.

The sneak peek photos do not just feature the new look of Gangnam Blues star, but also showcase his on-screen chemistry with actress Jun Ji-hyun of The Girl fame.

In the teaser images, Min Ho and the 34-year-old actress are seen on the streets of Spain, wearing similar colour shirts. While some of the photos portray them in an action sequence, others show them spending quality time with each other.

Sharing a few details about the filming of The Legend Of The Blue Sea, an industry insider said (via Yibada), "Today marks the beginning of the partnership between two talented and amazing actors like Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho. Please look forward to their chemistry."

Meanwhile, some of the Min Ho fans have posted the photos on Twitter and it has been doing the rounds on the social networking platform for a while.

The upcoming SBS mini-series is slightly based on a Korean legend that revolves around the lives of a fisherman and a mermaid. But major part of the storyline will focus on the modern day, wherein the mermaid decides to live in Seoul as a human and ends up meeting a professional scammer. 

The Legend Of The Blue Sea will apparently portray Ji-hyun as the mermaid and Min Ho as the professional scammer named Heo Joon Jae. Additionally, The Heirs star will also play the role of Kim Moon, a noble man from the Joseon era.

Since the period drama is Min Ho's last project before he enrolls himself for military service and Ji-hyun's first project after giving birth to a baby, it is considered as one of the most anticipated Korean dramas in the line.

The Legend Of The Blue Sea is scheduled to premiere on SBS by November 16 and take over the  time slot of currently running Gong Hyo-jin and Jo Jung-suk starrer Jealousy Incarnate.
