South Korean actor-cum-model Lee Min Ho has finally decided to take legal action against his haters who have been sending abusive messages to him through various social networking sites.
The Bounty Hunters star revealed, through his agency MYM Entertainment, that he has filed a complaint with Gangnam police station against all the malicious commenters. According to the statement, he will not be open to any kind of negotiations or leniency.
"The worst of the malicious commenters who have spread false rumours about Lee Min Ho and have personally attacked him through slander. Lee Min Ho has suffered defamation and damage to his image. The fans are also suffering from immense stress," stated the agency (via Koreaboo).
However, this is not the first time, the 29-year-old actor of Boys Over Flowers fame has been bullied by netizens. Earlier this year, MYM Entertainment released a warning statement against his haters for spreading malicious rumours against him. The agency even tried gathering evidence and tracking down the netizens who were trying to damage the actor's persona.
The Korean heartthrob is currently busy with the promotional activities of his upcoming period drama, The Legend of the Blue Sea. The mini-series, which revolves around the life of a conman, is scheduled to premiere on SBS On November 16.
The Legend of the Blue Sea, starring Jun Ji-hyun as a mermaid, is loosely based on a Korean legend that revolves around the lives of a fisherman and a mermaid. But a major part of the storyline will focus on the modern day, wherein the mermaid decides to live in Seoul as a human and ends up meeting a professional scamster.
