LeEco, formerly known as LeTV, is said to have sold out 500,000 units of the Le Pro 3 in just 15 seconds when it was made available via a flash sale in its home country China. Now, the company is set to bring this device to the United States next month.
The Chinese technology giant has announced on its official website that it will launch its new handset in the US at an event to be held at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET on October 19 in San Francisco, CA.
However, the company didn't reveal the pricing and availability of the device in the US.
The LeEco Le Pro 3 is available in two variants. One model has a 4G RAM and 32GB storage priced at 1,799 Yuan (around $270), and the other model features a 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM with a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (around $300).
The device has a metal body, features a fingerprint scanner, measures 151.4x73.9x7.5 mm in dimension, weighs 175 g, and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass and 1,080x1920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density).
Under the hood, the LeEco Le Pro 3 has a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1/2.8" sensor size and 1.12 µm pixel size, an 8MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4 µm pixel size, and a 4,070mAh battery. It is available in rose gold, gold, silver, and gray colours.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 1.0, dual SIM, and 4G LTE.
