LeEco is generating a nominal amount of interest among consumers with its latest Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones in India. Both smartphones will be on sale on June 28 and registrations are open on Flipkart and LeMall.com for buyers' participation. It has been a day since the registrations opened for the handsets and they have managed to get 1.5 lakh registrations on the company's LeMall.com and Flipkart so far.
LeEco noted that the interest for its new smartphones has surpassed the recently-launched Le 1s, which had got 1 lakh registrations within 24 hours. As compared to its rival Xiaomi, the number isn't a major breach. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 had received 8.5 lakh registrations in 5 days before its first flash sale in India, and LeEco's own Le 1s had managed to get 6.05 lakh registrations for its first sale and over 9 lakh for the second sale.
LeEco launched the Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones in India earlier this month, challenging the budget and premium smartphone market. The Le 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 11,999, making it a worthy contender against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, YU Yunicorn, Meizu M3 Note and Moto G4 Plus. As for the Le Max 2 priced at Rs. 22,999, it is a striking challenge for handsets like the OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi 5.
The registrations for the Le 2 flash sale close at 11 a.m. IST and Le Max 2 registrations would be open till 1 p.m. on June 28. The actual sale for Le 2 smartphone will begin at 12 noon and Le Max 2 will be available at 2 p.m. the same day.
As a part of the inaugural offer, LeEco is offering an attractive deal on its new Superphones. Buyers will get a pair of CDLA USB Type-C Le Headphones worth Rs. 1,990, LeEco Membership worth Rs. 4,900 and 10 percent cash back for using SBI credit cards. With just a week for the sale to commence, it remains to be seen how well the new smartphones will do in the market.
