Lee Taemin, one of the five members of popular South Korean boy band SHINee, celebrates his 22nd birthday on Saturday, 18 July.
The K-Pop star was discovered by entertainment agency SM Entertainment during an open weekend audition in 2005. After some years of training, he was selected as the lead dancer and vocalist of the contemporary boy group.
While preparing for the first solo song, the celeb was shifted from Chung Dam High School to Hanlim Arts High School so that the young star could adjust to the hectic schedule of the group's advanced Japanese technology.
Apart from being an active member of SHINee, Taemin has been involved in various reality shows, including "Immortal Songs 2", "We Got Married", "Running Man", "Match Made in Heaven Returns", "Off to School" and "Witch Hunt".
The K-Pop star had an adorable and cute relationship with Son Na Eun for eight months in "We Got Married" before leaving the show due to some unknown reasons, according to Soompi.
The celeb has also been part of several television dramas, such as "Tae Hee, Hye Kyo, Ji Hyun", "Athena: Goddess of War", "Moon Night '90", "High Kick! 3", "Salamander Guru and The Shadows" and "Dating Agency: Cyrano".
Some of the film projects of Taemin include, "The Outback", "I AM. – SM Town Live World Tour in Madison Square Garden", "The Miracle" and "SMTOWN The Stage".
Over the years, the SHINee member won numerous awards for his contribution to the entertainment world, including Star of the Year Award from MBC Entertainment in 2013, Artist of the Year in 4th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards and Hallyu Special Award in 24th Seoul Music Awards.
The K-Pop star is currently pursuing graduation in film and music from Myongji University.
