South Korean actor Lee Kwang soo, who is popularly known for his role in reality show "Running Man", celebrates his 30th birthday on Tuesday, 14 July.
Born in Gyeonggi province, the celeb began his journey through the world of entertainment as a model. It didn't take much time for him to portray his acting skills and make his television debut in popular MBC sitcom "Here He Comes" in 2008.
The actor was part of several reality shows and television dramas, including "The Scale of Providence", "High Kick Through the Roof", "Dong Yi", "Introducing a Star's Friend", "Star Golden Bell", "Come to Play" and "Strong Heart", during 2008-2010. But he gained popularity through SBS' "Running Man".
The variety show did not just make Kwang Soo popular in South Korea, but also in other Asian countries such as Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Macau, Vietnam and China. He is currently known as "Prince of Asia" due to his fan base in the region.
The South Korean star made his movie debut through Lee Joon-ik's war film "Battlefield Heroes" in 2011. Other big screen projects of the celeb includes "Wonderful Radio", "The Scent", "All About My Wife", "A Wonderful Moment", "Maritime Police Marco", "Walking with Dinosaurs 3D", "Confession" and "A Dynamite Family".
"City Hunter", "Bachelor's Vegetable Store", "The Innocent Man", "Goddess of Fire", "Secret Love", "It's Okay, That's Love", "The Girl Who Sees Smells", "Happy Together 3", "Gag Concert" and "Magic Eye" are some of his small screen projects.
Kwang Soo won numerous awards for his contribution to the world of entertainment, including Best Newcomer at SBS Entertainment Awards in 2011, Best New Actor at 48th Baeksang Arts Awards, Best Supporting Actor at 2012 KBS Drama Awards and Popular Star Award at 3rd APAN Star Awards.
