Tentatively-titled "The Ring," the romantic-drama is SRK's first film with Imtiaz and third with Anushka after "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan."
What else do we know about "The Ring"?
The cast and crew will move to Budapest in September, after they have wrapped up their first schedule in Prague by the end of this month. Apparently, 80 percent of the film will be shot in Europe and rest in Punjab.
"The Ring" is expected to hit screens during the Independence Day weekend, dates makers of Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey's "Crack" has are eyeing.
While SRK will essay the role of a tourist guide and be called Harinder Singh Nehra, Anushka will be seen playing a Gujarati woman (she has taken lessons to get her diction right). Also, reports have it Shah Rukh will play a womaniser in "The Ring."
Both SRK and Anushka are thrilled to be coming together for the project. Here's what they said:
The superstar said the film is a romantic one, but the story isn't upbeat and therefore, goes with his age. Meanwhile, Anushka is excited about being part of an out-and-out romantic film that stars SRK.
"His intensity as an actor and humility as a person is going to come across on screen. It's a great opportunity for me to work with the king of romance and a director, whose love stories are always so special and romantic," she further elaborated.
