The new Honda City China-spec model has been leaked on the web, revealing the style and design of the model.
Indian Autos Blog via Chinese auto portal AutoHome.com.cn has released the images of the new Honda City and one may add that the model of the City sedan looks way different from the Indian model.
The new Honda City for China measures 4,495 mm in length, 1,705 mm in width and 1,477 mm in height, which is way longer than the Indian model. The City, which is sold in India, measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,495 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,600mm.
As for styling, the new City for China features a new front fascia with wide grille and headlamp clusters. At the back, the City flaunts C-shaped tail light and new bumper.
Likely to be offered in three variants: Honda City in China is likely to be plonked with 1.5 liter, four cylinder engines that can generate 131 hp of power. The transmission is likely to come from either a manual or CVT gearbox.
In India, the petrol version of the City sedan packs a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, which churns out power of 119 PS @ 6600 rpm and 145 Nm torque @ 4600 rpm.
The diesel variant comes with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine, which is also used in the Honda Amaze. It comes mated with a 6-speed manual transmission and pumps in 100 PS power @ 3600 rpm and 200 Nm torque @ 1750 rpm. The petrol model of City comes in two variants: 5-speed manual and automatic, which is offered with a CVT automatic gearbox.
