A new image of Honda's upcoming, low-cost motorcycle has been leaked on the web, giving an early glimpse of the model.
The folks at Motorbeam have managed to get their hands on to probably the first-ever shot of Honda's yet-to-be-named, low-cost motorcycle, revealing the design and style of the model. From the image, the model seems to be in line with the company's other affordable offerings, such as the Dream series. The picture reveals the elongated seats and body panels of the upcoming model.
The motorcycle, which is currently under development at the company's Manesar R&D centre, is expected to include 110cc motor in the engine line-up that would develop 7.37bhp of power. Based on information available online, the motorcycle is likely to give a mileage of 70kmpl. It is likely to be launched in a year, with a price tag of about ₹40,000.
Meanwhile, the company reported an increase of 8.56 per cent in sales in April 2015 at 3, 40,791 units.
While Honda's motorcycle sales declined marginally to 1, 31,291 units last month from 1, 31,377 units in April 2014, the company's scooter sales witnessed 15.95 percent growth at 1,97,801 units, up from 1,70,589 units in April 2014.
