Lea Michele reportedly looked for comfort and stayed at Glee co-star Kate Hudson's home after boyfriend Cory Monteith's death, to escape from the public and paparazzi.
It's hard losing someone close, but it's all the more difficult when you have to cope with the media and the public while grieving the death of someone special. This was exactly the case with Lea Michele. Her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith's death left the actress totally devastated and she turned to Kate Hudson for solace.
Michele, who covers the latest issue of Elle, told the magazine that after Monteith's death she was looking for a place to escape the media and the public and couldn't think of anyone better than Hudson for help. Hudson and Michele bonded extremely well when the former did a guest appearance on Glee.
"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters],'" Michele told Elle. "She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
Though Michele has lost heaps of weight after Monteith's death, she manages to look absolutely stunning on the magazine cover with smoky eyes, a white belted jacket and denim jeans with a chain waist belt. The actress went on to tell the magazine how she's been coping with Monteith's passing.
"I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life," Michele said. "Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that's what I'm going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people."
Michele and Monteith started dating at the beginning of 2012, after she split from her longtime boyfriend Theo Stockman.
