LeEco announced on Tuesday that its affordable smartphone Le 1s will be available without registrations on Feb. 25, exclusively on Flipkart. The news comes shortly after the Chinese smartphone maker completed its three flash sales for the Le 1s in India, receiving a total of 220,000 orders in 31 seconds.
The Le 1s was once again sold out on Tuesday within nine seconds. The third flash sale ended with a order of 55,000 units and 4,23,000 registrations. The company said it received more than 20 lakh registrations across three flash sales. Owing to that success, the company is finally making Le 1s available in an open sale, dropping the need to register in advance.
For its third flash sale, LeEco introduced a new silver colour variant. The company for the first time brought its premium Le Max on sale on Tuesday, exclusively through Flipkart, according to Atul Jain, COO of LeEco India.
"We believe that with this third highly successful outcome, LeEco has lived up to its global reputation of being a market disruptor and game changer," Jain said in a statement. "We are delighted with the huge vote of confidence that Indian consumers have given us and am confident that going forward we will continue to offer more exciting products."
LeEco has expressed its goal to become one of the top three smartphone brands in India by the end of this year. LeEco has strengthened its offering with a content ecosystem, for which the company has signed deals with Eros and Yupp TV, and after sales service with 555 centres across India as well as 24x7 toll-free services.
By eliminating the rush of flash sales, buyers might have a better luck purchasing the Le 1s next Thursday. The demand for Le 1s is justified by the specs it offers at a reasonable price of Rs 10,999. We reviewed the handset and found it quite worthy. The handset comes in a full metal unibody, 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 13-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, ultra fast focus, ISOCELL 5P Lens, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, and a 5MP front snapper.

The Le 1s is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3GB RAM, 3,000mAh battery and has 32GB fixed storage. The mirror-surfaced fingerprint sensor on the rear is accurate and fast, just like the Android 5.1 Lollipop based eUi interface. It also has USB Type-C connector, 4G LTE support and dual SIM support.
