Sergeant Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and team will be back on NBC with another thrilling episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 17 at 9pm on Wednesday, 30 September.
Episode 3 titled "Transgender Bridge" tells the story of two 15 year-old teenagers named Avery Parker (Christopher Dylan) and Darius McCrae (Dante Brown). While dealing with real and sensitive issues, the sequel will also highlight the impact of peer pressure on youngsters.
The third episode of police procedure drama will begin by showing Parker being taunted by McCrae and his friends when she walks home from school through Fort Tryon Park. The bullying escalates to tragedy after taunts and jokes intensify to pushing and shoving, leaving victim in hospital and three assailants under arrest.
However, the plot line takes an unexpected turn only when the DA's office decides to try Brown's character as an adult. Although the SUV squad agonises over whether the punishment fits the crime, they fail to protect the accused teenager due to public pressure and media involvement.
Towards the end of the sequel McCrae will admit his crime and reveal that he did it to prove Parker is not gay, according to Christian Post.
Meanwhile, speculations are ripe that the upcoming episode of police procedure drama may also hint at detective Amanda Rollins' (Kelli Giddish) baby daddy.
