Lava's recently unveiled gesture control smartphone Iris 504Q is now up for sale in multiple online stores in India.
Popular e-retailers - Saholic and Snapdeal - have begun sales of the new Lava smartphone for ₹13,499, whereas other sites such as Flipkart and Infibeam has only opened the pre-order window, mentioning that the delivery of smartphones is expected to begin from next week.
Lava Iris 504Q sports a 5.0-inch IPS OGS (One Glass Solution-thin screen technology) display with 1280x1080p HD resolutions. The most striking feature of the screen is that it comes with inbuilt motion sensor that can take input via hand gesture i.e. users can take photos, browse through music player, and tune FM radio channels without touching the screen.
In terms of hardware components, it packs 1.2GHz ARMv7 based quad-core chipset having 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB). It also houses 8.0-megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear side and 2.0-megapixel front-facing secondary camera.
Considering the high-end specifications and its price, Lava Iris 504Q will pose a stiff challenge to rivals, both domestic and MNCs like Micromax, Samsung and Karbonn which are ruling Indian market.
