Home-grown handset maker Lava has expanded its Iris series with three new dual SIM Android smartphones, namely Iris 349, Iris 351 and Iris 355, all of which are priced in the sub ₹4,000 range.
"In our mission to empower people, we believe that everyone deserves to own a smartphone. Hence, we at Lava have worked hard to come up with entry level phones that will be easy on the customers wallet yet provide a superior smartphone experience," the company said in a press statement.
Iris 349 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1GHz single core processor. The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and has 256MB RAM along with 113MB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card slot.
It houses a 2-megapixel primary camera and a VGA front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and it packs a battery of 1,400 mAh.
Iris 355 and Iris 351 come with features similar to those of Iris 349. The model Iris 355 phone supports 3G network too.
Last week, the company had rolled out a 3G voice calling tablet known as Etab Connect. The tablet boasts of a 7-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The device packs 512MB of RAM and internal memory storage of 4GB. It also comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
