Noida based domestic smartphone maker, Lava International Ltd. has announced a new mid-range handset dubbed as Iris Pro 20 in India.
The new phone's rectangular curved bar design is strikingly similar to Apple iPhone look-alike, Iris Pro 30, which was launched in January this year. It features metal rim on the edges, but sports a low-resolution 4.7-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS screen and runs on three-generation old Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
Under the hood, Iris Pro 20 packs 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB memory (expandable up to 32GB), an 8.0-megapixel main camera (with blue glass filter, dual-LED flash, digital zoom, HD 720p video recording), a VGA camera on the front to snap selfies and support video chatting, and a 2000 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which can provide back up for 400 hours under standby mode.
Lava Iris Pro 20 is priced just under ₹14,000 and will be competing with MNC branded phones like the popular Motorola Moto G, HTC Desire 310, Lenovo A526, and local rivals like Canvas Turbo Mini and Xolo Q1010i.
