Smartphone maker Lava Mobiles has released a new entry level handset, dubbed as Iris 503e, via online stores in India.
Iris 503e, touted to be the economic variant of Iris 503 (launched in December 2013), sports a 5.0-inch FWVGA screen with 854x480p resolutions and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Under the hood, it ships with 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB) and a high capacity 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery. It also boasts of dual-cameras - one 3.0-megapixel camera (BSI sensor, 8 X zoom) on the rear side and a 1.3-megapixel snapper on the front side.
As of now, Lava Iris 503e is available at the online store eBay India for ₹6,749. It will be competing with MNC labels such as Nokia Lumia 520, Sony Xperia E, Samsung Galaxy Star Pro, Galaxy Trend, as well as domestic brands like Xolo A500 Club, Micromax MAd A94, Canvas Viva A72, Karbonn A18+ and others.
