Technology company Lava International Ltd on Saturday announced the launch of a voice-calling 3G tablet, PC E-Tab Ivory, in India.

Commenting on the launch, company co-founder and director S N Rai said, "E-tab Ivory is the latest proof of Lava's innovation excellence, based on the MediaTek's technology. This product includes a great touchscreen, configurability, improved user interface and multimedia capabilities that our customers will be delighted with." reported Times of India.

Lava E-Tab Ivory sports a 7.0-inch capacitive touch screen with 1024x600p resolution and runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, aptly backed by a 500 MHz PowerVRSGX531 Ultra graphic engine, 1GB RAM and 4GB memory(expandable up 32GB).

Connectivity wise, it boasts of dual-SIM 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It comes with 2.0-megapixel main camera and 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front.

The new E-tab Ivory reportedly costs ₹10,199 and will be up against local rivals such as Micromax Funbook Pro, HCL ME Y3, Swipe MTV Slash and iBall Performance series. It will also be pitted against MNC players like the popular quad-core tablet Nexus 7-16GB Wi-Fi only model (no voice-calling feature) and Lenovo A2107.
