The hoaxers on social networking sites have killed the "Nightingale of India" Lata Mangeshkar this time.

After Hrithik Roshan, the legendary singer has now become the latest victim of internet death hoax. Reports of Mangeshkar's death due to heart attack started doing the rounds since Tuesday night.

The rumours started after the singer tweeted about late yesteryear actress Nanda, who died on Tuesday morning due to heart attack. But twitterati mistakenly tweeted "RIP" messages to Mangeshkar, believing that the singer died.

However, the singer, who is affectionately called 'Didi', took to Twitter to slash the rumours and stated that she is well and fine.

Even filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and BJP leader Smriti Irani tweeted that the singer is alive.
