Udhampur, Sep 04 (ANI): Landslide, triggered by heavy rains, in Jammu and Kashmir blocked national highway, disconnecting people from other districts. The national highway, which was reopened on Wednesday, was closed again due to landslide on the highway in Udhampur district.
Jammu Srinagar National highway is the only link road between Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded at various points. Meanwhile, drivers said there was no arrangement even of water for stranded people. After a period of weak monsoon showers earlier last month, many northern and northeastern provinces are now reeling under the impact of floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains.
