Lamborghini India is reportedly planning to launch a drop top version of the Huracan sports car christened as Huracan Spyder on May 5. The launch would happen at Lamborghini's new dealership in Mumbai, which is getting inaugurated the same day, reports Carwale.
The drop top version of the Huracan is powered by naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that develops 602bhp of power at 8,250rpm and 560Nm of torque mated to seven-speed dual clutch transmission and power would be transmitted to all four wheels. The Huracan LP610-4 Spyder can attain 0-100kmph speed in 3.4 seconds before reaching the top speed of 324kmph.
The Huracan Spyder features 'Cylinder on demand' -- cylinder deactivation technology -- in combination with a stop-and-start system for lower CO2 emissions. The sports car also features lightweight chassis and aerodynamic spoiler and a diffuser that help in increasing down force.
The Huracan Spyder features the same design and powertrain of the Huracan LP 610-4 coupe, except the roof. The new hydraulically controlled soft top can be lowered in 17 seconds, while the car is driving at a speed of up to 50kmph. When the roof folded down, two fins rise from the rear of the seats; this improves aerodynamics and aids in airflow to the engine compartment.
Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 is priced at Rs. 3.43 crore (ex-showroom, pan India). The Spyder version is expected to be pricier than the coupe version.
