Three years have flown by since the first Lamborghini Huracan was launched in the market and during that phase, the Italian marquee has already crossed the production milestone of 8,000 units. Automobili Lamborghini rolled out its 8000th Lamborghini Huracan recently from the production line in Grigio Lynx shade. The 8000th unit happens to be a Huracan Spyder that will find home in the United Kingdom.
Lamborghini Huracan was launched in 2014 as a successor to Gallardo. The latter is the best-selling Lamborghini of all time, with more than 14,000 units sold. By crossing the 8,000 mark in just three years, the Huracan has proved to be a worthy successor of the Gallardo by all means. Also, it is an indication that it will exceed the former in terms of numbers. Lamborghini Huracán got its name from the bull, Huracan.
Lamborghini sells the Huracan in six variants — Huracan Performante, Huracan Coupe, Huracan Spyder, Huracan RWD Coupe, Huracan RWD Spyder and Huracan Avio — and the entire range of the supercar is available in India. All the Lamborghini Huracan models are offered with one engine — a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 motor.
