Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan grabbed everyone's attention at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week 2016 in designer Rohit Bal's creation in Mumbai April 3. The diva looked glamorous on the ramp in a royal blue ensemble, which was heavily embroidered.
"I love the chand motif on the lehenga. It is something special. I would love to keep this for coming fifty years for my family. I love Rohit's clothes. His clothes show his personality. He puts his heart in it, [sic]" the Press Trust of India quoted Kareena as saying.
Titled "Koroshini," Rohit's fashion show was held at St Xavier's College, and according to the "Ki and Ka" actress, it was the best finale. The designer showcased ensembles in which organic fabrics and ancient technique of embroidery had been used.
"The collection is called 'Koroshini,' which in Urdu means illuminate. For me this whole association with Lakme, Kareena and the whole team is been about illumination," Rohit told PTI. "Kareena is a vision. She really is a goddess. It's not just about how she looks. It's about the person she is, understanding, sharp and intelligent."
The finale of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2016 was nothing less than a visual treat. The models walked the ramp in black, blue, golden and white ensembles that included royal anarkali, long jackets, lehengas, sarees, and sherwanis.
Kareena had turned showstopper at the grand finale last year as well, walking the ramp for Anamika Khanna in a black-and-white ensemble. Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor were present at the LFW 2015 finale to support Kareena.
