A funeral service was held on 27 July for 21-year-old Mayci Breaux, one of the two women killed in a Lafayette, Louisiana theatre shooting.
The funeral took place at the Church of the Assumption in Breauxs hometown of Franklin, about 50 miles south east of Lafayette.
Breaux and Jillian Johnson, 33, were killed on 23 July when John R Houser fired at them and others inside the Grand 16 Theatre during the movie Trainwreck, authorities said. Houser, 59, then killed himself, according to police. Breaux was studying at a Louisiana college to become an ultrasound and radiology technician.
Services for Johnson, who was a musician and gift shop owner, were scheduled to be held at a Lafayette memorial home later on 27 July.
Questions continue to surround Housers motive for the shooting, his background and his mental state. He was admitted to hospital for psychiatric care, had a volatile relationship with his family, and espoused hatred for the government.
