Violinist L Subramaniam and playback singer Kavita Krishnamurthy's daughter Bindu entered wedlock with Swarathma's violinist Sanjeev Nayak at a traditional ceremony held near Bengaluru on Sunday.
Bindu's wedding ceremony was held as per her family tradition, which is a mix of Gowd Saraswat Brahmin and Iyer custom.
It was a private affair with minimalist décor. Close family and friends who flew down from different parts of the world attended the wedding. Bindu donned a green Kancheepuram sari, while Sanjeev Nayak was seen in a panche. L Subramaniam's sister sang a Carnatic song, which was a pleasant surprise for all the guests.
Kavita Krishnamurthy and Dr L Subramaniam, who are settled in Bengaluru, have no biological children from their marriage. Subramaniam has four children from his previous marriage. Bindu is his second daughter and is a law graduate. She is also a singer and songwriter.
Sanjeev Nayak is a violinist from the Bangalore-based folk/fusion band Swarathma, which includes guitarist Vasu Dixit, percussionist Pavan Kumar KJ, guitarist Varun Murali and bass guitarist Jishnu Dasgupta. The band has released two full-length studio albums "Swarathma" (2009) and "Topiwalleh" (2012), besides several singles and music videos.
