Although Halloween falls on Monday, October 31, Hollywood celebrities have been playing dress up all weekend.
The weekend that passed by seemed like a gigantic costume party and celebrities showed us just how creative they could get. Although some of them opted for classics such as Audrey Hepburn's little black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's and a classic cowgirl costume, some celebs' costumes included personality, humour, sass and a whole lot of drama.
Here's a look at some of the best Halloween costumes of 2016:
Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween. Her detailed look, complete after hours of hair and make-up is a sheer joy to watch. The Project Runway star earlier said her motherland, Germany, is her theme for 2016. However, she gave us a sneak peek of her other Halloween costume on the Ellen Show.
The model was dressed as former Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler, while Ellen Degeneres dressed up as Sia. This look was quite easy to pull off and plenty clever.
Kylie Jenner
The 19-year-old lip kit queen brought back Christina Aguilera's outfit from her famous single, Dirty. Jenner wore red and white striped bikini top, cut out leather chaps and bleach blonde wig. Tyga's girlfriend was a spitting image of Aguilera and she even got the singer's approval. "YAASSSSS.....Killin it @kyliejenner yes to dirrty 2016!! Get it girrrl!!," Aguilera wrote in an Instagram post.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
This list wouldn't be complete without a mention of Katy Perry. Admittedly, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her rival, Donald Trump have been favourites this Halloween, and Perry showed us where her support lies.
The 31-year-old singer was dressed as Clinton at Kate Hudson's legendary Halloween bash, while Perry's boyfriend Orlando Bloom was dressed as Trump. Their resemblance was uncanny and this, without a doubt, is one of the best Halloween costumes of 2016.
Nina Dobrev
Anyone who's watched Leonardo DiCaprio's The Revenant can't forget the infamous horse scene, in which the actor sleeps inside the animal to protect himself against the cold. Well, Nina Dobrev presented a hilarious take on the scene. The star was dressed as a horse, while her friend was dressed as DiCaprio.
Bette Midler
Bette Midler made everyone nostalgic by bringing back Wizard of Oz. The 70-year-old Golden Globe winner dressed as Winifred Sanderson at her party.
Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs showed off his (almost) real muscles at Bette Midler's party and it was hilarious. Take a look:
