Kylian Mbappe is one of the biggest findings of the 2016-17 football season. Unexpectedly, all the top European clubs have come on board in the ship of suitors for the French forward...who is just 18!
After Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City, Real Madrid are the recent football club to join the race to bag the prized signature of Mbappe, who has been one of the integral reasons AS Monaco have made heads turn by reaching the UEFA Champions League 2016-17 semi-finals.
According to revered French publication L'Equipe, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is absolutely ready to bring Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu next season, possibly as a replacement for Karim Benzema. The report states that the Los Blancos are set to table a £85 million bid for the French youngster.
However, will that be enough, we wonder, as Monaco has stamped a price tag of a whopping £110 million on Mbappe, The Times reports.
Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo, had earlier, made out a plan of action and handed it to the Real Madrid board. The Portugal football legend shortlisted Mbappe as one of the 2017 summer transfer targets for the club.
Spanish newspaper Diario Gol had reported that Cristiano holds a veto power in Real Madrid's transfer policy.
List of players, Cristiano wants Real Madrid to buy this summer:
- GOALKEEPERS: David de Gea / Thibaut Courtois to replace Keylor Navas.
- DEFENDERS: A replacement for compatriot Pepe, who turned 34 this February.
