Shikha Singh, who plays the negative role of Aaliya on the popular show "Kumkum Bhagya," is going to marry her long-time boyfriend Karan Shah on May 1, 2016. While the wedding preparations are going on in full swing, the actress is unable to spare time as she is juggling her show with "Box Cricket League 2" (BCL 2).
"Yes, the date is locked and it's 1st May 2016. There are a lot of preparations to look forward to and I am literally counting days to D-day. But, currently I am facing a tight schedule as the current track in the show revolves around my character. So, I can barely plan anything and cannot take an off all of a sudden," Shikha told India Forums.
The actress also revealed that the wedding will be a private affair with only the couple's family and close friends in attendance. It will be followed by a reception for the couple's friends.
Earlier, Shikha had told the Times of India that she and Karan, a pilot by profession, met at a gym and have been dating for four years. She had also mentioned that the couple will get married according to Gujarati wedding rituals.
Meanwhile, "Kumkum Bhagya" recently completed two years of successful run. Shikha, Shabbir Ahluwalia aka Abhi and Arijit Taneja aka Purab took to their social media pages to thank viewers for showering their love and support.
The show is currently revolving around Pragya's (Sriti Jha) mission to expose Tanu (Leena Jumani) in front of Abhi. It has been reported that in the upcoming episodes, Abhi will apparently realise that Pragya is his Fuggi, whom he loves unconditionally. He will also learn the reason behind his Fuggi's sudden transformation from a kind and demure daughter-in-law to a bold woman.
