Television actress Shikha Singh, who plays the negative role of Aaliya in the popular show "Kumkum Bhagya," got married to her beau Karan Shah on Sunday, May 1, 2016. The actress shared a sneak peek of her bridal look on her Instagram page. In the picture, the decked-up bride looked gorgeous in her wedding attire.
Shikha had earlier told the Indian Express that she would be donning a Panetar saree for the wedding and a lehenga for her reception. Further, the wedding would be a private affair with only the couple's family and close friends in attendance and will be followed by a reception for the couple's friends. Shikha's co-actors from "Kumkum Bhagya" are also expected to attend the reception of the newly-wedded couple.
The "Kumkum Bhagya" actress also shared that she would not take any leave and continue shooting for the show. "Thankfully Karan is a very understanding partner and he understands the working of my industry because somewhere he also belongs to an industry where working hours are very erratic. So, he understands that point and till the time it is for work, I don't think any person will have any problem," Shikha told the Indian Express.
A few days before her wedding, Shikha, who had been juggling between "Kumkum Bhagya" shoot and the "Box Cricket League 2" (BCL 2), told India Forums that she was unable to spare time for her wedding preparations. "There are a lot of preparations to look forward to and I am literally counting days to D-day. But, currently I am facing a tight schedule as the current track in the show revolves around my character. So, I can barely plan anything and cannot take an off all of a sudden," Shikha had told the web portal.
In other news, Mihika Varma, who played the role of Mihika Iyer on "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," also got married recently. Varma got married in a very private ceremony with only her close ones in attendance. A picture from Varma's wedding surfaced where she looked gorgeous in a red bridal wear.
