Ekta Kapoor's new venture "Kavach," which has been making huge buzz, will hit the small screen on June 11. While it is known to the viewers that the show has Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" fame in lead roles and Maheck Chahal as main antagonist, another popular actress will also join the cast of the show.
Leena Jumani, who plays the negative role of Tanu on "Kumkum Bhagya," has been roped in for a guest appearance on "Kavach." The actress will be playing the role of a ghost on the new show.
Leena, who is quite active on Instagram, shared a picture of her as a ghost. "#Kavach#onescene#GuestAppearance#ghost#colors#8pm#tommorow," she wrote.
"Kavach" has been making a lot of buzz as it will see Mona and Vivek sharing screen space for the first time. The show is a finite series and will revolve around Mona's character Pari, who will go to any extent to protect her husband Rajbir (played by Vivek) from the spirit of his ex-lover Manjulika (played by Maheck). The show will replace Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani-starrer "Naagin,"
Recently, Maheck, who will be making her fiction debut with "Kavach," met with an accident and severely injured her leg. While there were rumours that the makers have started looking for her replacement, the actress later confirmed that she is very much part of the show and continued shooting using a crutch and some strong painkillers.
According to a SpotboyE report, Mona and Maheck shot for the wedding sequence recently where both the actresses were dressed in identical wedding lehengas and jewellery.
