A young policeman jumped off a 20 feet high bridge in Nashik to rescue a man, who was apparently trying to commit suicide on Tuesday.
The policeman's bravery was captured on a CCTV camera installed near the spot as Nashik is holding Kumbh Mela. There was a significant presence of police at the spot in Talkuteshwar area in the wake of Kumbh Mela.
The video, which has been circulating on social media, shows the man jumping off the bridge when a police team, not much behind the person, sprang into action.
Constable Manoj Barhate, 24, wasted no time and jumped into the canal and saved the man.
The clip was later uploaded on YouTube by one Ravikanth Kamble.
