"Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan" is gearing up for a leap, post which Koyal (Asha Negi) and Maddy (Gautam Gupta) will be seen remembering Raj (Aly Goni) fondly, who passed away in the prison fire.
"Koyal and Maddy are married but somewhere down the line, she still cannot get over her love for Raj. Maddy will be seen justifying that he got married to her (Koyal) only to save her from Samar and that she could live her life in the way she wants to. They will talk about their present and future relationship where Koyal will be seen getting emotional about her situation," India Forums quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, Aly shared a photo on Instagram informing his followers that he would be back soon.
The show, which was suffering from low TRPs, underwent a cast-change. Shritama and Vibhav being replaced by Asha and Aly, respectively, triggered controversies but the makers didn't have much choice.
Talking to Absolute India, Shritama said the lead pair's performance was never criticized. The team apparently wanted a change in script due to the shift in time-slot and so, it was being transformed into this saas-bahu saga from a modern love story.
In other news, Asha and Aly are both hopeful that their real-life friendship will translate on to the small screen and will help fetch good enough viewership.
"I love the kind of relationship Raj and Koyal share: despite going through so many ups and downs, they're madly in love with each other. The chemistry built in the show is amazing," The Asian Age quoted Aly as saying.
