Sreeju Nair of BollywoodLife.com said: "Touted as a comedy, there is hardly a scene to laugh with or at. All the movie does is play with ridiculous stereotypes we have seen in countless Hindi movies... KKLH is insufferable till now"
Akshay Kaushal of IBNLive said: "#KuchKuchLochaHai is slow in the beginning. And débutant #NavdeepChabbra certainly is a very bad actor. #NavdeepChabbra and #EvelynSharma are so bad that they don't even deserve #GoldenKelaAward."
"Bad acting and bad comedy is what #KuchKuchLochaHai is all about. Sheer waste of your time and money."
Films of India in its review said: "Though this film is supposed to be a comedy, the humour seems to be missing from the flick. Ram Kapoor is without a doubt very talented, but not impactful in the movie and his role does not seem to be strong enough."
Just Bollywood in its review said: "Though it promises a number of hilarious lochas, but in its depth these are most obsolete and stale jokes to enjoy. Pitted with several technical errors, the film has very limited stuff to cater, which is nothing but the skin show."
Surabhi Redkar of Koimoi.com said: "This film has a lot more locha than just kuch kuch. The script is shoddy, acting is mediocre and its run time will kill your mood to watch a film. There are better things to watch than Ram Kapoor hamming to be a Gujarati!"
Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times said: "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai is an insane, bizarre film with absolutely no intention of making the audience satiated in any which manner. Avoid it if you can."
