If the recent reports are to be believed, Austrian bike-maker KTM's much-acclaimed 1290 Super Adventure has been imported to India again for testing purpose.
A report in Shifting Gears states that the 1290 Super Adventure bike is in India for testing, however, the bike is not likely to make its India debut soon.
Powered by 1301cc two-cylinder four-stroke engine, which can churn out 160bhp of power and 150Nm of torque, 1290 Super Adventure is likely to get a price tag in the range of ₹12-14 lakh in India.
The bike, which weighs 229kg will have a tank capacity of 30-litre and comes with a ground clearance of 220mm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the bike features Bosch 9ME combined ABS.
KTM is also rumoured to bring its 1190 Adventure R to the Indian market in coming years as the company is looking to expand its foothold in the country's two-wheeler market. KTM 1190 Adventure R is powered by a 1,195cc V-twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to pump in a power of 150hp and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
